Already established as one of the world’s leading specialists in Zone 0 and Zone 1 products for the oil and gas sectors, UK-based iSiS-Ex is set to make its mark with a new range of Zone 2 PCs for which it has now received formal notification from Sira. The iSiS 1200 non sparking industrial PC has completed extensive testing and Sira has certified the product to ATEX and IECEx standards.   

With communications via Ethernet, fibre, traditional serial cable or Wi-Fi, the lightweight PC workstation offers a choice of processors and incorporates a sunlight viewable LCD panel and glove friendly touch screen. Designed for ease of use and on-site maintainability, and offering the option of VESA, Yoke or panel mounting, it includes internal temperature and humidity sensors for remote telemetry.

With customisable connector configuration and a standard operating temperature of –20 to +50 degrees centigrade, it also enjoys the benefit of IP66/NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X conformity.

                              New distributor for Australia/New Zealand

iSiS-Ex has continued its development of new markets by appointing Hazware Pty Ltd as a distributor for iSiS-Ex products in Australia and New Zealand.  “We see similarities between iSiS-Ex and Hazware,” says Darren Mann, iSiS-Ex sales manager. “They too are a progressive, dynamic company with ambitious plans. They also have an intrinsic knowledge of, and experience in, the hazardous area market in Australia.  We see them as an ideal partner to develop business within this growing market.”

                    Most Successful Year Ever

Celebrating the first anniversary of the MBO from the Technor Group in the Summer, this year is proving to be the most successful in the company’s history.  Sales revenue and manufacturing output have increased significantly during 2010, even before the launch of the new Zone 2 range. A direct result



of this growth has been the appointment of Roy Huddart and Lokendra Singh to the management team. Roy Huddart has joined as production manager and Lokendra Singh as purchasing manager.
